En 1973 comenzó su importante colaboración en The Tomb of Dracula donde creó a Blade.
Entre 1975 y 1976 fue editor jefe de Marvel.
En 1980 creó a The New Teen Titans.
En 1985 escribió Crisis on Infinite Earths.
En 1986 creó a Flash III.
En 1987 inició The Adventures of Superman.
